This privacy policy has been formulated by Afghan Wireless Communication Company (hereby referred to as “AWCC) to assist AWCC eSehat (Afghan Wireless Mobile application) Customers /Users to understand how their personal information will be treated by AWCC when they visit the mobile application, as AWCC objective is to make available a good experience and quality service to all Customers and /or Users. Please note that AWCC may amend this policy from time to time without prior notice. Users/ Customers are advised to check this Policy on regular basis.
We at AWCC are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We will always take reasonable and appropriate measures to prevent the unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal information. These measures include but are not limited to the application and adherence to, of numerous physical security protocols, cyber security protocols, data encryption, data anonymization and limitation of access.
Types of Personally Identifiable Information Collected
At times, Customer may be required to give her/his personally identifiable information including, but not limited to, Customer name, gender, age, identity document number, telephone number, email address, education level, interests and activities etc.
Refusal to provide such information may deny Customer's access to certain parts of AWCC eSehat, or may render AWCC eSehat unable to handle any application or request Customer is making, or may otherwise defeat the objectives of the visit.
How we use your personal information
We collect and use personal information to help us manage your account:
- To confirm/process your orders
- To validate you as a registered customer when using our services or when calling the AWCC Contact Centre
- To deliver products and services to you (including third party services)
- To manage your account with us and for billing purposes
- To improve our products and services and develop new ones
- To manage our network and help us optimise your network coverage and our network
- To tell you about our products and services or allow trusted partners to tell you directly about their products
- To respond to any questions or concerns you may have regarding our network, products or services
- To comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, government and law enforcement agencies' requests
- To make credit decisions about you
- To ensure security for you and our staff
- To prevent and detect criminal activity, fraud and misuse of or damage to our services or networks
- To carry out statistical analysis and studies which may be shared with third parties, only in an anonymized form
We may monitor your use of the services and record any calls made to AWCC Contact Centre for training, financial control, quality control and regulatory purposes.
Sharing and Disclosing Your Personal Information
Your personal information may be shared with, or transferred to, our subsidiaries, affiliated companies, and trusted third parties (including agents, resellers, subcontractors and suppliers who are directly involved in the supply of the services ordered by you. We shall not share or use your personal information with our affiliates or any third party that is not directly involved in the provision of the services, without obtaining your prior express consent. However, you always have the option to withdraw your consent by contacting AWCC Contact Centre. We may disclose your personal information, with predefined processes, if such disclosure is:
permitted by applicable laws prevalent in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan;
expressly permitted by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ telecommunications regulations or any other aspect of the regulatory framework;
in response to legal process (e.g. police, emergency services, etc..) in order to comply with a court order or applicable law or in connection with judicial proceedings or other legal process.

To be more specific, we may disclose your personal information to third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AWCC, our customers or others. We may share your personal information with reputable credit reporting agencies for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction. We may also share your personal information for emergency services, including your approximate location.
We may be required to disclose your personal information or legally intercept the services to comply with the laws of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan or the express instructions of a competent authority (such as the Afghanistan Telecommunications Regulatory Authority) or where it is deemed necessary in the interests of public or national security.
In addition, we may share aggregated and/or anonymized (non-personally identifiable) information, derived from your personal information, publicly and with our partners such as publishers, advertisers, website owners etc.
Direct Marketing/Market Research
If Customer has once given to AWCC eSehat personally identifiable information, Customer may receive from AWCC or from its affiliated companies from time to time telephone calls, email, and short message and direct mailings containing promotional materials or market research/surveys. If Customer does not want to receive them, please write to customer@afghan-wireless.com or call 152 for Afghan Wireless Customer Care. Customer care representative will respond the email and take care of their needs and requests accordingly.
Also myawcc Facebook page is also created to educate our customers better regarding AWCC products and help them further.
AWCC eSehat customers may be asked to indicate their particular preference before signing up for any of AWCC eSehat services.
On-line Services
AWCC eSehat Website may have on-line stores or service providers hosted within the web site, which are operated by third party merchants. If Customer wants to use or order any services or products from any of them, please note that any information Customer provides, once transferred to the relevant merchant, is beyond AWCC eSehat control.
Additionally AWCC may also request information on several elements of Customer Service. User feedback is vital, appreciated and enables the application to enhance the Quality of Customer Service that AWCC provides.
Retention of the Information
A Customers personally identifiable information which is given to AWCC eSehat via Internet during the subscription process will be retained for a reasonable period after termination of the subscription.
Disclosure of Information
User/Customer information may be shared with, or transferred to AWCC, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies.
Access to and Correction of Information
If a Customer wants to access and/or correct her/his personally identifiable information, which Customer has given to AWCC eSehat via Internet, Customer may write to customer@afghan-wireless.com.

AWCC eSehat may contain links to other sites. AWCC is not responsible for the data collection practices and/ or the privacy policies of any such sites.
Security
AWCC eSehat employs techniques to secure the AWCC eSehat Website. It is worth noting that such techniques do not guarantee that use of the AWCC eSehat Website is invulnerable to all security risks, nor does AWCC eSehat make any warranty, guarantee, or representation that use of the AWCC eSehat is protected from all viruses, worms, and other vulnerabilities.
